The fear of something is much worse the less one knows and the less one can influence it. We fear death the most: The “catastrophe” at the end of life, the destination each one of us - even against ones volition - will reach.

However: Many people, who for example once got within the scope of a near death experience in a state of consciousness between life and death, describe the transition as the most beautiful one can imagine.

From now on, they lose the fear of death and gain with it the capability to live their life much more intense,

impartial, and more fulfilled.

This might be the reason why cultures of all times developed techniques to expand into this state of consciousness between life and death and subsequently return from there as “changed”. The ancient mystery cults (temple sleep) are an impressive example.
